INSTRUCTIONS
Your application for IMPFV consideration of inclusion will be appraised by the IMPF office on the basis of its content and presentation. Therefore all items on the form must be completed and the form dated and signed. To facilitate processing, all applications must be typed or written in black ink using capital letters. Before filling out the IMPF-V-1 form, carefully read the following:
1. ESSENTIAL CONSIDERATIONS:
A. All members of IMPF Dept. volunteers must be committed to the spirit of the Department.
B. They should be available at reasonable notice to converse, communicate and/or assist brother and sister officers.
C. The IMPF language of communication verbal, written and electronic is English. It is required that all members be competent an have a working knowledge of this language.
D. All applicants must have a minimum of three (3) years duty as an officer in the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines or as a law enforcement officer. (Officers of all grades and agencies are eligible).
E. If officers are retired it is required that they be discharged honorably.
F. It should be clearly understood that Section Dept. 110 is volunteer service, there are no enrollment fees, no processing fees and no membership fees. Also there is no remuneration at any time for an service. Should any member at any time request financial compensation of a brother or sister officer, they will be terminated immediately upon review.
G. It is incumbent on each member to make themselves available to fellow members telephonically, via written mail, electronically or in person when convenient without compromising their professional duties. Should a member decline or fail to respond to another member on three (3) consecutive occasions, their privileges and participation in the program may be terminated after review.
H. Documentary evidence must be submitted to establish service, rank, duty and duration of enlistment.
I. In order to respect the privacy of members, it is not required that they submit home addresses or private telephone numbers should they not wish to do so. Members will be furnished the names and method of contact for two (2) members reciprocal to their application request information.
This instruction and information sheet should not be returned with any application.
2. METHOD OF APPLICATION SUBMISSION:
A. Form IMPF-V-1 can be found in this website, printed out using your browser's print button, and completed as described above. Duly completed, dated and signed forms with support documentation attached should be forwarded to:

3. STIPULATIONS:
Upon receipt of your IMPF-V-1 Form, consideration of your application will be reviewed by a Deputy Director. Successful applicants will be notified by mail within one (1) calendar month.
Forms not completed according to the above instructions will not be processed.
Due to the number of applications, IMPF Dept. 110 will only respond to those which are positively appraised. Negatively appraised applications will together with documentary evidence be destroyed by the IMPF Dept. 110 Program staff and will not be returned to the applicant.
4. METHOD OF OPERATION:
Members who wish to contact brother/sister officers or intend to travel to a specific country shall make their application on or in the manner of Form IMPF-V-2.
